Heard this rumor in 2012 when gameday was in BR. Don't remember which game they said it was...maybe UGA '03
Heard fans were throwing batteries when Corso picked UGA...

I was also wondering where the PFB made their debut as well...

I heard it was a golf ball.

Yes, but I think it was when Corso picked Florida in 1997.

It was definitely vs Florida in 97 on the ramp at the pmac. Someone definitely threw a golf ball at Corso.

It rained golf balls on the set, forgot which game but it was definitely LSU when GD would set up by the PMAC

it almost hit Corso, but i dont think it actually did. Seems like it bounced on their table. they all kinda laughed it off and Corso pretended like he was going to put on a helmet. I think it was at the end of a segment or during a break, so not sure if it was on tv.

Golf ball was thrown to chants of "Corso Sucks" after he picked Florida. Hit him in the head. The next week there were nets around the set.

Yeah golf ball in 97. The next time they came back may have been '03 georgia. Someone held up a sign that said "hey corso, FORE!"
Posted on 10/29/16 at 4:17 pm to DustyDinkleman
The net was already there at UGA 03 game.

There were gold balls thrown in 1997 I know for sure. There was a "backup quarterback" chant and then it happened.

It was actually LSU vs Bama in 1996, when Corso put on a hard hat with an elephant on it and picked Bama to win. That was the game that Shawn Alexander ran for 1,000,000 yards and we scored 0.
I was there and this backs it up

I know people will try and call BS on this but it was a friend and I that threw golf ball at Corso in 97. We got arrested and were given a ticket. They pulled us all the way up the ramp and made us stand there while they were writing us a ticket for public endangerment. Chris Fowler and Corso acting like lives were in jeopardy.
We went to court a few weeks later and it was ESPN vs Us on the docket. Public defender told us to just stay quiet. The judge called us up, read the synopsis of the ticket, asked us what happened. I told him Corso picked Florida. He laughed, said case dismissed, and banged the gavel.
I really wish I would have kept the paperwork on this.
That's the true story. Gameday now has a screen behind them because of that.

No it isn't because it happened in 96 against Alabama.
