Why O is the right guy for this program.

As bad as Miles was, most aspects of the program were in excellent shape. Recruiting, academics, facilities, etc. Miles caused a malaise to settle on what otherwise had all the ingredients for success.
O maintains, if not improves, the stellar recruiting classes. He lets the studs play ball, and the coaches call plays, unfettered by any style of play he "enjoys" (God I hate that word). He has already taken a power blower to the malaise that had settled over the program. People are having fun again.
And he said he would run a pro style offense and recruit pro style quarterbacks. Thank you Jesus. I have watched Houston. While the goofy spread option stuff may look good other places, I don't want to see it at LSU. Besides, we would have to wait several years until Herman has "his guys" to run his system. F that. We have the players to win NOW.

O is saying the opposite of what Miles said, and doing the opposite of what he did, all as the central plan of his PR campaign.
He knows what Miles was criticized about, and in order to gain public backing and support, he is saying the opposite. And people are falling for it.

the fact is it doesn't matter what I say to you, you'll rationalize and find a way to prop up O because you like him.
He was a miserable failure the only time he was a head coach. He won 3 sec games in 3 seasons. And then he never got another head coaching job in the 10 years after getting fired.
Why is he the answer? Logically. Not emotionally. Why is he the best option? He's not.

So he shouldn't be judged on his past? That's literally the only thing on his resume outside of decades as a position coach and 2 stints as an interim coach.
if they were considering another coach who was 10-25 or whatever, would you still be receptive?

So if Herman, Fisher, etc come in and do something similar, are you going to post here about doing the opposite of what Miles did to gain support? OR could it be that Coach O has matured into HC material and individuals like yourself refuse to think that some people can progress in their careers?
Bottom line, we won't know what we have in CEO until we get a season or three with him as HC fully implementing his style. After the last 4 years of shitty mediocre football, I am willing to give him 3 years to prove if he can handle the job. Would much rather that than bring in an unenthusiastic, big name coach.

I've been observing Herman and reading up on him people bash coach O for being a position coach and his time at Ole Miss. Well coaches can learn and change. But what the hell has Herman done to deserve a shot in the SEC. Road on Urban Meyers coat tails? Beat OU and FSU. Think about that. OU gives up 40 a game. FSU gave up 63. Oh and just lost to powerhouses Navy and SMU, and they weren't even in the game. He will get mauled in the SEC period. I don't know if O is they guys, but I sure as hell ain't sold on Herman. The next coach needs to come from a P5 school with a proven record, or if O finished strong give it him period.

What is my recent experience with him? What do other highly regarded coaches say about him (Aranda? Raymond?, etc) What has he said about the reasons for his lack of success before? Was he at a program that should EXPECT great success? Does he have a plan to change and improve from those self diagnosed issues?

We'd be flipping absolute shite if we hired a D-line coach from an opposing school that had his track record as our HC. This place would burn, and rightfully so.
But nope, he speaks coonass and he loves LSU so that means he's the 'right guy'

Bregman proved himself in the minors AND then proved himself in the league. Bregman has a body of work to consider in his current and past role.
Orgeron has never succeeded as a HC with his own pieces in place . You can argue that he never has had an opportunity , BUT that is something to consider, as well.
Fans truly pushing for Orgeron to get the job are participating in identity politics. Nothing more. These fans would not give another coach so much benefit of the doubt with the same resume but lacking the Louisiana accent and name. Period.
