Florida Man held in pickax attack

A Volusia County man is accused of trying to kill another man with a pickax. Daniel Brown, 47, was arrested Tuesday at a home on Gary Boulevard, near Daytona Beach. He is charged with attempted murder, trafficking methamphetamine and manufacturing methamphetamine, deputies said.
Volusia deputies said Brown and the victim had been doing drugs together when they got into an argument.
During the argument, Brown grabbed a pickax and swung it at the victim’s head, deputies said. The victim deflected the blow, but suffered an arm and leg injury.
Deputies said they also found a meth lab in a duffel bag in a shed on the property.
