what's Gary Chambers got to say about this?

Gary says we should have named it the "Alton Sterling River Center for Music" in honor of the fallen CD salesman

Look for prices to increase and size to decrease at a Cane's near you

Also, you want some more ice?

They should. With the Cajundome getting a major facelift inside and out, it's the premier destination for events. The Baton Rouge area needs a great arena for that. The river center is almost on the level of Blackham in Laffy.

The theater is already budgeted (and in design phase) for a renovation... maybe this money can help do the same for the arena.

The old ballroom/ex hall space could use a lot of work as well.

That seems like a rather shitty arena to put your name on.

So when they moved executive HQ to Dallas, everyone bitched. Now that Cane's is investing into BR, you bitch about it? Guess you'll bitch when the River Center starts getting better acts and better service?

So what will people actually call it?
I like when people call the NOLA Arena "The Blender".

Potential:
Chicken Coop
River Box Combo
Box Combo Center

Does this mean the river center will shrink in size over time?

Money will be used in an official city account on River Center upgrades and support.

More like a couple of big wigs' kids get some pretty cush jobs "working" at the River Center.

Awesome, went see Robert Plant there and that theater has plenty of potential.
