The portion I pay for family coverage with a high 3000/6000 deductible is going from 484.58 to 733.68/month. You read that right. That's a 51% increase, thanks Obama.

We are going to a single payer plan in the next 5 years. There's no way around it. Sadly, I think that's what Obama's plan was along.

No shite.

I'm not sure about next year. I currently pay $36/mo so I'm not too concerned about it.

0% - 0%.

Employer continues to cover it, however, I will be going on 3 years without a raise due to the hike in rates.

Looking at a 12.5% increase in my share. It definitely could be worse.

Maybe a better topic would be:

"Has your health insurance premium for your family surpassed the cost of your mortgage?"

100% increase on the portion that I'm responsible for. Not sure if the total went up 100%, or if my company just shucked it all on us. I had to take my son off of my insurance and put him on my wife's plan it got so bad.

ETA: I'm actually happy that open enrollment is right before election day. Hopefully this mobilizes people to realize that we cannot afford another 4 years of writing checks from the middle class's bank account.

Our deductible actually went down by a few thousand dollars for the coming year. Not sure how. It's gone up every year that I can remember.
