What do you remember about these guys? Obviously Davis was a R1 draft pick. I remember Calais being pretty good, but seemed like his career didn't last very long.

I remember Tony Moss burning Ole Miss. Go figure.

Calais and I were good friends growing up. He was on the Butkis list before tearing his ACL against Houston. Hell of a football player and an even better person.

Wasn't Davis the one that hurt both ankles severely on the same play while playing for the Bears?

I believe that was on the wonderful astro turf at the vet.

No, he blew out both knees on the shite turf at the Vet in Philly.

After seeing Calais on campus as a freshman, a friend said: if Mike Calais is 6-1, 210, I want all our players to be 6-1, 210.
That's how ripped that guy was.

Davis ran great routes and had glue hands.
Moss was a water bug, small, shifty, could cut on a dime. Great YAC, big play guy, clutch. Converted RB I think.

I played against both Moss and Davis in high school. I know......CSB.

Davis came from our opponent Fair Park in Shreveport and went all the way to Chicago Bears. Hodson to Davis was a threat to the defenses. I was a fan.
Moss came from Bossier City and we played his team in high school. He was highly touted out of high school and contributed to the Tigers but don't think he did well as a pro.
Calais came along after I left LSU so I don't recall much about him.
Eddie Fuller was the other guy I enjoyed saying that I was proud to have played against. I met Benny Logan at a track meet after he had signed and told him never to forget that one play at LSU could make him legendary. Eddie had that happen to him

He is a heck of a nice guy.

Wendell Davis quit on us, a la Harvey Williams, his last year. Other than that and contributing to Ditka's first heart attack, not much.
