He gets it.

I don't think the pressure of winning out should determine if he keeps his job or not . The fact alone that this team has become less predictable , more explosive plays in just a few wks , shows a great deal of improvement . The players are being aloud to show their talents , coaches are Bn aloud to coach . Huge turn around . Coach O might not win out , but I bet this team will compete . You won't here another interview at half time that's says coach your team has no first downs this half .You haven't crossed the 50 all game , so what do you need to do to get offense going in 2nd half ?

He may be right. If Herman or even Jimbo are interested O will be out
I just don't see either of these guys coming to LSU. Herman will be on everybody's short list and with Texas and Norte Dame jobs coming open it would be difficult to picture. Who else you got

O can lose one game, win the rest, and he will be our HC next year.
Agree, it all depends if he can make LSU offense productive.

There is, like, zero evidence to support this conclusion. Jimbo has an undefeated NC, a Heisman winning QB he developed, several P5 conference championships, and several ten win seasons. O has one win against a ranked opponent and has never even coached in a bowl game
Yeah, we need to see how Coach O does when his team faces some real adversity. How his team handle clock management when there is 5:00 left in the game and we are down 3. How smooth the offense looks when we are down 2 scores late in the 3rd. How he handles his assistants when he disagrees with a personnel decision they are making. There is a lot of football left and a lot he can prove, or fail. I hope he proves everyone wrong.

Even if he wins out.
he's really become a pompous arse these days.

The public pressure inside and outside of Louisiana would be overwhelming.
People hated on USC for not naming him HC after his USC interim stint of like 5-2 with only 1 quality W.
If LSU refuses to hire Louisiana's favorite Creole son after winning out, coaches will be burned in the streets

O will be better than Jimbo even if he doesn't win out.
O's recruiting prowess in TX/LA is tops...couple that with the fact that he is a full-blooded coon arse and you've got a coach who would be very endearing to all of the people of this state.

If LSU wins out it will be the biggest sports miracle since Babe Ruth pointed to the center field bleachers in this 1932 world series and then hit a home run to the spot.

Thankfully, you have no earthly idea what you are talking about. Les has beat you into thinking LSU is not a top program. Congrats.

Well can you point out any proof that Herman would prefer Texas of ND over LSU? Not some media guys' sources.
Hey maybe your right. Herman may go somewhere else, Jimbo may say no. Then O will likely get considered.
Do I believe Aleva should tell O he has no chance in hell? No I don't but there are coaches better than O that LSU should and will pursue

If Coach O wins out, almost every program in the fricking country would want him .
Posted on 10/20/16 at 3:29 pm to adamb2151
Well, I don't agree with that if LSU wins out, but it is pointless to speculate at this point, although that is what message boards do. Right now LSU has at least a shot at the NC and definitely a SEC chanpionship or may not qualify for a crap bowl. Going into the 8th week of the season, this is a unique situation for any team.
Posted on 10/20/16 at 3:38 pm to NotRight37
They really dont. This team is not winning anything significant. You people are hilarious.

Not they won't. LSU is loaded with talent and as many have pointed out over the years any average coach could win at LSU with Miles' talent
