I would almost guarantee that if O won out he would be the next head coach at lsu. The public pressure inside and outside of Louisiana would be overwhelming.

He may be right. If Herman or even Jimbo are interested O will be out

If he wins out, he will be LSU's coach, period end of story.

It depends who LSU can get
But if they do win it out does that include playoffs?? That's different
LSU is so loaded and playing so loose
We shall see how it goes

Good. Nothing should guarantee O the job. The LSU AD should be free to select the candidate it believes will maximize championships over the next decade, after full consideration of all options. If that's O, fine. If it's someone else, fine.

Why is it different? Winning out is all he can control. Why would something that is out of his control factor in?

But but but I don't want Michael Wilbon saying bad things about LSU!!

O will be better than Jimbo even if he doesn't win out.

That's an odd thing to say. I talked to Peter Burns yesterday from the network and he said the majority of them are pulling for Coach O to keep the job

His opinion. It's possible if the admin locks up there guy beforehand maybe so.

Or maybe he's a talking head like the rest of them. One guy says yes, the other says no and voila... a tv show.

WAY out of touch. O can lose one game, win the rest, and he will be our HC next year. I think he can even lose two depending on how we play. The offense has done a 180, player morale is WAY up due to more guys being rewarded PT for how they practice, he is "one of us", great recruiter, and I think he learned from his previous HC experiences.

He said many other things in that interview. And many of them were valid points.
Many at LSU agree with what he says about having a QB whisperer as their next head coach. He isn't exactly wrong in his speculations.

I think he is very wrong.

There is, like, zero evidence to support this conclusion. Jimbo has an undefeated NC, a Heisman winning QB he developed, several P5 conference championships, and several ten win seasons. O has one win against a ranked opponent and has never even coached in a bowl game.
