Workout Bros: Off Week Diet?

Alright guys so I've started a new program that's 4 weeks on and one week off for a deload/off week. I'm currently on the off week, and I'm curious about what I should be doing diet-wise this week.
I'm a naturally skinny guy so during the on weeks I'm really really loading up on protein and calories. Should I be doing that during my off week to keep my body in a normal dietary cycle and give it the nutrients it needs to truly recover, or should I scale back so the extra calories I'm not burning don't start to store in fat?
Appreciate any help! And for those banging on the off week, been lifting for years and this is the first time I've truly bought in to an off week. It's painfully difficult and I have to avoid the gym like an alcoholic walking by a bar, but I really think it's worthwhile. Maybe I'm just getting older, but I'm a huge fan.

Keep eating the same as the other weeks.

Your body is in recovery mode, protein needs to stay high but you can drop your calories to maintenance level.

This is what I figured. It just feels weird downing a protein shake after a light stretching workout but all good!

What are you trying to accomplish?

People may disagree with me but a whole week off every 5th week seems like too much time off. I usually take a week off 2 times a years maybe 3 times.

what is your goal here. It depends on what you are trying to do
