Well that's just a terrible take.

Boise(under Petersen) had better talent than Arkansas

Well, this is probably untrue, but Boise did have a lot more talent than people think.

Current NFL players:

Arkansas - 21
Boise - 17

Arkansas had more depth, I'm sure.

Since 2011 when players from Petersen's first recruiting class became seniors

Boise 10 players drafted in rounds 1-3

Arkansas 5 players drafted in rounds 1-3

They have a great coach. Petersen is the guy LSU needed to get.

petersen is an excellent qb coach who always does well after a guy has had a year under his belt as a starter.

i got laughed at on rbr for saying the dawgs would make the playoff this year and maybe win it in 2017.

as long as petersen has an experienced qb and can keep solid talent in the trenches he will always be lethal.

as it stands, bama isn't the best match-up for uw. there isn't a dline in the pac12 that comes close to what bama brings. same for the oline.

Yeah 2017 was supposed to be the year for them, now they might get that experience this year and be poised to win it all next year

Do total players drafted from 2010 when they were juniors and include all rounds. Then look at players from each of those years still in the league. Arkansas had better depth of talent.

Why would we start with 2010 when none of Petersen's recruits were in that draft? Also why would them still being in the league matter?

They needed OT to beat an awful Arizona team. I wouldn't crown them yet.

This. Young teams usually have a loss in them at some point.

Because being drafted and actually being an NFL player worthy of a roster spot are very different.

And count undrafted guys on rosters.

So he didn't recruit enough to have juniors declare early? Just pull juniors from arky that year too.

5th in the SEC West? Pfft, give me a break. Dawgs would be AT least third.
