why do we have Mike anyway? is it because we love him, or is it to be cruel to him?

Neither

Why do we have cows? Do you think it's to love or to be cruel to them? No, it's to milk them or to eat them. I drank the milk of a cow for breakfast today, and I will surely eat some good cow flesh when I go with my family to Atchafalaya Restaurant (first visit there) for second breakfast.

It'd be great to get Tony, just to rescue him before he dies. But from what I've read of him, the owner is a piece of garbage who'll never relinquish it. All I can do is never stop at his nasty truck stop for anything.

I was really hoping someone would actually link that POS to this thread and he'd respond. We don't need to get all PETA on him but making his life miserable for a while would be satisfying beyond words...

Only if the current owner is thrown into the cage with the Tiger after the Tiger has not been fed for a week

Seems like that's a win for everyone.

You failed to consider PETA.

There will be Hell to pay to get another Tiger. Tony is at least 10 years old and not kept in the best of circumstances. Which means we will have to go thru this in another 3-5 years.

It would be nice for LSU to offer a better home to Tony, but we need a younger tiger for permanent display.

This site has raised all kinds of hell for people who've been way less shitty. I really wish that this guy would get a one summer sentence in that very cell he's given Tony for years. He gets no a/c, no fan, just and enough water and food to get by.

Shying away from the stadium beats the shite out of mauled trainers and/or fans.

It's a cat. Granted, it's a big cat, but if raised right would never pose a threat to anyone.

Why do we only have to have one Tiger?

got all that but if the tiger won't get inside of the trailer to go to the stadium, is that really a good choice?

Yes, it is. frick that trailer and frick anyone who thinks its normal to lock him up and make him deal with 100,000 insane drunks yelling. We have a human mascot for that. Mike the actual tiger needs to remain in his lush, beautiful, expensive habitat at all times. frick that trailer.

And yes, if we can get the truck stop tiger out of that hell hole he's currently in, I say its a definite win for everyone, especially the tiger.

We need a cub. This tiger has a lot to live up to considering the last two both won National Titles.

How the frick is the owner allowed to keep him in those conditions?

I don't know. Hopefully the tiger finds a way to eat that sonofabitch some day though. Truly, a quick death is too good for that piece of shite.

Not sure of the owner, but he does make sure Tony gets fed regulated meals and has vet care.

Tony is a 550-pound 16 year old Siberian Bengal tiger. I don't see the travel to Baton Rouge, the new surroundings and not be familiar with the area to be a plus for Tony. He is near the end of his life, much past he natural life spawn.

What are you babbling about? Mike has traditionally been a football mascot coming into the stadium for games for years and that's why he has that habitat in the first place. Otherwise, he's just a zoo animal.
