What's the difference between a vacuum cleaner and a lawyer on a motorcycle?

Vacum cleaner picks up crap while a lawyer on a motorcycle burns dollars as he is driving his Harley? Am I close?

Congrats, man. That's the non-plaintiff's lawyer wet dream.

See you suckas later. I was offered an in-house gig at a financial firm. No more billing hours for this guy.

Congrats. I'm jealous. Billable hours are the bane of my professional life. What do you specialize in again?

I just wish the bottom 75% great luck with finding a decent job and earning a living with their new degree.

If I remember correctly, I think he did some estate planning and tax work.

I see they kept the percentages right in line with last July.

That's right. Good for you. I just can't bring myself to make the in-house leap yet, although I'm pushing hard to make my billable hour requirement this month so that I can get my bonus, so in-house sounds good right about now.

Was on the list this morning. First time taking it, and thankfully the only time. Everything else is just noise. I shall welcome a real paycheck.

I am on pace to hit 2k hours this year. The in-house talent coordinator asked me yesterday if my firm would give me a pro rata bonus if I left early and started laughing at her. I said very doubtful. A couple of hours later she sends me an email requesting info on my bonus for the last two years because the company was going to now give me a signing bonus to compensate me.
