Be careful. Sumlin was suppose to be the savior for A&M after setting the world on fire in Houston. Now Herman is setting the world on fire in Houston. Could LSU be making a similar mistake as A&M? Is it true that Herman only has 19 games as a head coach? Be careful!!!!!

Kevin Sumlin never had a defense ranked over 93rd while at Houston. Tom has already fielded defenses much better than that and currently has a defense ranked 5th.

Sumlin has the Aggies in the top 10. Considering the shitpile that was A&M just before Sumlin got there, the Aggies should be worshipping Sunlin

Sumlin did NOT set the world on fire at Houston. He never won a conference championship there and had a 5-7 season when his star quarterback went down.

YES, REALLY TOM HERMAN.

LSU should go get him now, mid-season, 8 years/ $64 million with a leaving now signing bonus.

Offer Bebe as their interim.

He took a TAMU program that had 5 of their last 10 season be .500 or below, a program that had only 2 seasons in the last 10 have more than 7 wins, a program that was pretty meh in recruiting for most years, and made them competitive.

His record in a tougher conference and division is much better than either of his last two predecessors. His recruiting is also better as they have finished no less than 11th during his full recruiting cycles. It seems that he finally realized that he needed a running game and got an OC that could provide him with that. He finally realized that he needed a defense and got a DC that could provide him with that. As long as he has removed the Manziel culture out of the program, he will excel.

He has 18 games as a head coach, he is 17-1 with a win over FSU in the bowl game last year.

Herman was an OC and QB coach, and called plays before he came to Houston. Sumlin was never really a play caller (WR coach mostly), and he got Houston right after Art Briles built that school back up. Of course he did have some great seasons but he also had a putrid defense.

Herman cares about defense, is a play caller and QB coach, and took an 8-5 to 13-1 and lost the one game by 3 points on the road without his star QB. He's also beaten Stoops and Fisher by double digits in back to back games, beat Petrino who's only other losses were to Power 5 teams, and crushed a really good Navy team by 21, whose only other loss was to 11th ranked ND, who only had losses to 3 of the top 4 ranked teams (one a bowl game vs Ohio St).

Herman will be great at LSU, and I won't hold this against you if we do get him and he crushes it year one.

So because they both coached at Houston, they must be the same exact type of coach right?
