honestly its not that far off, the top 5 or 6 jobs are pretty close to interchangeable. they all have things in common, such has top recruiting area and willingness to pay big money for a coach and his staff.
The only thing that really matters anyways is who in the top tier will be hiring. As of now LSU is the only elite job that looks like it will be on the market this year.
in most years only one or two of the top jobs will be open. USC is an interesting case because its a top job but it has a different profile for a coach than LSU or Bama would be looking for.

Exactly.
The top five is, in no specific order, Texas, Notre Dame, Michigan, Ohio State, and Bama. LSU is in that next tier.
You could argue that LSU has been a better job than Texas and Notre Dame in the last decade.

Its truly amazing how jaded some of our fans have become. Im gonna go out on a limb and say "iluvlsusports" is 20-30 years old and has never known CFB w/o LSU as a dominant program.
Realistically I think LSU is top 10, rank them wherever u want to as long as u dont really believe LSU is a top 1-3 anything after that is debatable. I'd put them at 6:
1. Bama
2. Texas
3. OSU
4. USC
5. Florida
6. LSU
7. UGA
8. Tenn
9. Michigan, FSU,Oklahoma,TA&M,Auburn,Notre Dame
I could easily see where someone could argue that 6-13 teams could be arranged in a different order but the same teams.
