I just got finished working on my GF's son's old 4 wheeler. It had been laying up for probably 10 years, so I decided to see if I could get it going.
Well, it's running now, and pretty well. The only thing is, the tires are dry rotted pretty badly.
What kind of tires would you recommend for an old 4 wheeler like this? Not looking to dump a whole lot of money into it, this one will be used for guests when we go hunting.

Why not just get more stock tires? Used ones can be had for $100 a set with rims most of the time.

if you're going to stroll the fields and little trails, that's what I would do, but sometimes you need a little grip.

Seriously, where would I find such a thing?

The usual places...
LA Sportsman
Craigslist
ATV groups on Facebook
I think bayou bucks has a popular classifieds section.

If you have custom store around you that does lifts and accessories for trucks and four wheelers, they probably have take offs that they'll sale for next to nothing.

I actually have a set of tires on the rims that I took off of my 300 fourtrax. I went with new tires and rims all the same size.
The old set is just sitting here if you're interested.
Not great shape but I was still running them last year.

Prairieville is a bit far, but hey, I go to most Tiger games anyway!

Check the intercom website for blemishes tires. Last time, I got a set of 27s for 15 bucks a piece.
They weren't even blend. Just over stock.

I would just put some tubes in the tires you have now if your just trying to get it running for cheap.

I have that same bike, a 1999 model. Can't go wrong with a set of Bear Claws.
