TOUCHDOWN!

I remember after that play the announcer kept going on and on about how if that pass fell incomplete we lose. Even though there was a second left on the clock. And I still believe that Flynn throwing was not what the coaches wanted. Miles' and the assistant next to him looked absolutely taken off guard.

Should've kicked it.

How does this have downvotes? I hate some of our worthless fans. This was an amazing game & play.

As I remember it they called the play but it took a few seconds longer to get it off than the coaches expected. And actually there were 4 seconds left when the pass was caught so even if dropped there would have been ample time to kick the field goal (despite the WAY too many posts over the years to the contrary). Personally, I LOVED the call.

Not to mention they let a couple seconds go after he caught it and fell to the ground

I still don't understand how that ball got past Auburn's DB.

That play was one of my top 5 favorite moments from inside tiger stadium.

yeah he caught it with 4 seconds left. if he had dropped it there would have been more than 1 second left.
it was a bit ballsy, but nowhere near the do or die people try to make it out to be.

I still don't see how the clock ran down that much

First-ever game I went to that I can remember (went to a few when I was a kid, but not really memorable). Born and raised in Texas, so never really made it my intent to go. Glad this was my first one and was about 10 rows up in that corner

I was in the Greek section 20 yard line 12 rows up. It all happened right in front to of us. I'll never forget that play.

I was in the stands and remember everyone freaking out as the clock counted down. There was an Auburn fan behind me and said " I don't beleive it, he's not watching the clock!!!!" Then they ran that play, made a miracle catch, and his mouth hit the floor
we should have fired him on the spot.
