They don't understand that they are hurting themselves by injecting politics into their sportscasts and shows. The have no self awareness and can't fathom that anybody out there has different political and social views as themselves... It's incredibly bigoted, ignorant, elitist, and insulting...people are finally turning them off.

Viewers really need to see 2 hours of MNF pre and postgame coverage?

This is the dumbest reason for not watching NFL. Watch 2 hours of netflix pregame if you want or you know live life? ESPN doesn't force you to watch 2 hours of pregame

The reason for the NFL decline is politics for the casual viewers and pussification of the game for hardcore viewers. Simple as that.

Fixed. Casual viewers like my wife watch only if I'm watching. The casual viewers really don't have a clue about the BLM movement of the idiot NFL players.

My interest level in the NFL has steadily eroded over the last 3-4 years. It started when they tried to eleminate the kick offs. This was one of the most exiting plays in the game and it fundamentally altered the entire sport...bunch off pussies! Then they started all this "targeting" crap, some of which I can get behind but they went way overboard with it...defense can't even play defense anymore...pussies. Then we get the 15 yard penalty when a d-linemans hand brushes the qb's helmet...are you kidding me? Pussies. This is not the game I grew up watching. Frick them, the college game is closer to real football

frick the NFL.

They've watered down their product significantly, it's so cheap and commercialized now and so far away from being a sporting event and instead is a cheap reality tv show. Constant focus on "drama" and bullshite, not sports.

Not to mention all the bullshite "player safety" crap that has neutered the game.

And then you have their politically correct, SJW agenda they shove down people's throats at every turn.

So in conclusion: frick THE NFL

The NFL is a morally corrupt institution lead by a pos in Roger Goodell, why are you surprised?

Anyone who watched the NFL pre Goodell knows the game isn't what it once was.

The nfl has went way down hill. For me it's the fricking penalty fest to manufacture close games and the politics.

It's weird because the NBA is back on the rise. I can sit down and tolerate watching almost any team

It sucks that they don't spread kickoff times out to get more games on TV like college does. I don't like having one game at 1, 2 games at 4 (or other way around depending on the week) and one in prime time. I'd love for the NFL to put a game on FS1 as well. Give viewers more options on which games to watch

I haven't watched a full game yet either. It's part because the saints suck and I'm stuck with Falcons games now that I'm in the atl. Also as mentioned the product sucks due to over reffing and killing the D

Games just seem to lack the action they once had. Viewers can pretty much expect 10 minutes of meaningless television after a touchdown between the extra point, commercial, kickoff touchback and another commercial. Also the last CBA seems to have killed technique and player conditioning as it seems a player is injured at least every 10 plays or so resulting in additional stoppages and more commercials.

I don't watch as much football as I use to because the Ravens finally got over the hump and won the Super Bowl in 2012. It just felt like a big relief seeing the players I cared about finally win and I had that "mission accomplished" feeling.

Plus anytime I watch now it just bores me.

Now if only WVU could give me that same feeling one day.....

Product has been awful for a few years now.

If college football could get their games to stay under 3 hours and 15 minutes, its ratings could maybe creep up towards the NFL. Maybe.

It's a pretty good matchup tonight on the SNF game, and I haven't watched a single play. Even 5 years ago that would have never happened for me.

How old are you?

Ravens only went 12 years between Super Bowl victories.
