Ingram had 12 carries for 58 yards. 4.8 ypc

I would bet 10 of those 12 were in the first half.

It really seemed like Payton went away from him in the 2nd half and having a 14 pt lead in the 4th, you would assume they may try to get him the ball.

Did he get dinged or something, or was it Payton just being Payton??

It's against his DNA to stay committed to the run.

Typical Payton. If we had actually run the ball in the 4th quarter to eat the clock when we still had a 14 pt lead, then we probably win that game.

We scored 34 points with the play calling we had. I get what you are saying about trying to run more with a big lead, but that wasn't our problem yesterday.

he had 2-3 good runs. Then 10 or so that didnt go over 3 yards. He wasn't really effective comparatively to what we were doing in the passing game

Dude gets a 17 yard run then immediately calls to have someone replace him.

Garbage.

I don't know wtf CSP's problem is but Ingram should have been the man from late 3rd until end of regulation. Half arse slants, dumps, screens, power and delayed runs to Mark would have easily gassed Oakland's defense. Snead, Thomas and Cooks set it up beautifully. Sometimes this shite really feels like sabotage just like in BR! Constanly snatching defeat from the grasps of victory.

Offense is not the problem though. Its the defense. More or less carries we are still the most prolific offense in nfl.

yea, great thinking...

if ingram started getting the ball more and we still lost, you probably would have started a thread saying 'why did payton stop throwing the ball?????? drew had 400 yards!!!!!'

drew was hot, we needed more points, we kept throwing because it worked.. end of story

ETA: if you want to bitch at CSP about anything, how about something that makes sense, like how he can NEVER get to the two minute warning with all three timeouts.. i'd bet we lose 3-4 games a year because we can't ever control the clock at the end... i've never seen an nfl team have so much trouble burning TOs

Gameflow plus Cadet being used as the 4th WR hurt his touches this week. Its nothing to worry about. Ingram ran well. 4.8 yards a carry

Snead and cooks are on his fantasy team. Not Ingram

what's new? CSP has been this way since 2006. He'll never stay committed to running the ball. Ever.
