What is wrong with the ATVS guys?

Anybody read this trash article?

LINK

I get the feeling they care more about how their tailgate turns out than if LSU wins or losses. It is possible to hold the coaching staff accountable and still love and support LSU. These guys should be fans of a middle of the road ACC team so they can tailgate all day long and not give a shite what the team does on the field.

I love it. Especially these parts,

quote:

If you think Les Miles has ruined your enjoyment of football, and you can no longer find any fun in LSU game days, then I’m going to kindly suggest you unplug and stop following the team. Maybe you’re right. Maybe Les Miles is a moron whose luck has finally run out after over a decade of running one of the most successful programs in the country. Hey, it’s possible.

You know what? You’re right. The team is awful. They have no heart. Miles is an idiot. The coaches can’t recruit, which is a good thing, because they can’t coach up the talent either. The players don’t care anyway. Everything you’ve ever said, and have been saying for nine damn years is completely right. We should have listened to you.

Now that you have the glorious satisfaction of declaring victory in your smug correctness, you can ride off into the sunset.

quote:

Believe it or not, we didn’t cancel the season. We’d love to have you at the party, but if all you’re going to do is complain about what a lousy time you’re having, maybe LSU football isn’t for you.

I mean they had a point. It shouldn't steal our enjoyment of game days. And it won't ruin mine. But I do hold them accountable and want changes to occur.

theyve had their head in the sand for a while now In regards to miles. Theyre similar to a lot of posters here that attack fans for daring to criticize a millionaire coach.

Really all that article is is a giant melt.

Don't get me wrong I still love the hell out of LSU football. I sat through the early 90's with no problem, still looked forward to the games. Now having said that I think it's fair to demand more from the coaching staff and wanting to win. I'm not miserable but I want to see a more imaginative brand of football that at the very least gives us a chance to win games against the Alabama's of the CFB world. I don't need these kids who write for ATVS down my throat because I want more for this team and school.

I had a great time at Lambeau. Wasn't going to let a brain-dead Michigan man's poor coaching completely rob me of enjoying something I've wanted experience since I was 5.

I had a similar conversation with a friend this morning. He said something to the effect of "we're all gonna be disappointed Saturday."

My response was basically "I'm going to have fun either way. I'm going to tailgate and get drunk and have a good arse time win or lose."

I can't put so much emotional stock into football anymore.

The atvs guys blamed most of the Offensive problems last year on Harris' sports hernia. They refused to see there were bigger issues.

Same here. People want to blame Miles for this as if it's a problem, but I thank the man. He is the reason, don't get me wrong, but the silver lining is that wins and losses are more enjoyable now than ever before.

I posted this in another thread but it applies here.

Other than watching our putrid offense, I've had an amazing time. In one trip I was able to visit the best MLB and NFL stadiums, historic venues I've wanted to see since I was a little kid. I watched a great game at Wrigley and witnessed a geaux tigers chant in the outfield bleachers. That's may never happen again. Lambeau was an incredible stadium. The tailgating in Green Bay was the best experience I've had before an LSU game. The food was phenomenal the drinks were flowing and the badger fans were extremely friendly. Yes, I'm upset with the loss but dammit I'm not letting Les take away from this great vacation.

Well, it is true that LSU football was way more fun in the 80s when the team was decent and fans were excited and passionate but not so damned angry!

We are better now than then by most measurables, but everyone is so pissed off all the time. It's kinda sad and hilarious at the same time.

Look, I'm all for us being as good as we can be, and I'm all for discussion on what is bad, what could be better, coaching decisions, players -- that's what is fun about sports.

But everyone being so pissed off as if their life is actually altered by this kind of kills the buzz.

Part of what makes LSU football and Saturdays in the fall special is that it isn't just about the game. Even if Miles is going to be Miles it is still awesome to hang out with friends tailgate and go watch a game in Tigerstadium...even if that 3 hours is the worst part of the day

I think you need to look into the mirror and ask what is wrong with you instead.

Article was well written and accurately calls people like you toddlers.
