I took advantage of the "no sales tax" weekend at Stine's and ordered the Genesis EP-330 today. They only had the stainless in the store and I wanted to "Smoke" color.

Got it for $749 (regular price) but with 10.5% sales tax in my town, saved nearly $80. It'll be in on Thursday and I can't wait to try it out.

Lowe's/big box stores don't/can't sell the EP-330 with the stainless steel grates. They only sell the E-330 with cast iron grates.

According to the ACE Hardware website, the price I got it for was $100 off the normal price (didn't realize that when I originally posted).

Good luck! My cousin got a Genesis earlier this year and I nearly got one in June when he called and after I went over, he showed me all the wonderful rust on/in it. And he keeps his in his garage..and covered. I ended up settling for a regular Weber Original Kettle.

Wish they would of put the spirits $100 off. Would pull the trigger on a S-330, don't really need the size of a Genesis.

My old man has the Genesis and I have the spirit. Love them both. His is connected to a gas line and I have propane. The only issue I find and it's with both pits is that fat drippings catch fire very easily and will engulf the pit in flames. I empty the dripping pan out often. I have to cook on very low flame and/or babysit the pit when I do sausage/high fat products or when I use butter. Other than that it's great build quality and I got the kitchen system grill top with the skillet which is fantastic for veggies or breakfast on the pit.

Does he live on Jupiter ? I've had mine for 11 years , under patio and covered, with zero problems.

That's why I bought mine at HD. My old man has the stainless, but I wanted the cast iron. to each his own.

Congrats on the new grill. I love my Genesis.

Bought a Genesis with the cast iron grates from HD a few months ago. Can't see how I waited so long to get a good gas grill. I was always a charcoal fan and still am, but you can not beat the ease and convenience of a good gas grill.
