Meanwhile, here is how the practice squad shapes out, sources tell NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, unless otherwise noted: -
WR Jake Lampman: The 6-foot, 205-pound Lampman signed with the Saints following a successful tryout during rookie minicamp in May. The rookie, who entered the league out of Ferris State, finished the preseason with one catch for 19 yards.
- OL John Fullington: Fullington, who is listed at 6-5, 300 pounds, originally entered the league in 2014 as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State with the Green Bay Packers.
- FB Austin Johnson: Johnson, who has been with the Saints since 2013, was waived Saturday after losing the position battle with John Kuhn.
- TE Garrett Griffin: The 6-4, 240-pound Griffin, a rookie out of the U.S. Air Force Academy, joined the Saints in June. He had one catch for 14 yards during the preseason.
- WR Jordan Williams-Lambert: The 6-3, 228-pound Williams-Lambert, a rookie out of Ball State, is signing with the practice squad, The Star Press reports. Williams had three catches for 58 yards with the Saints during the preseason.

Not to be a Debbie Downer but has anyone in recent years become a serviceable player after being on our practice squad? The only one I can think of is Coleman. Serious question

Not really sure, out of my list. I'm not sure if any of them were ever on PS or not.
Pierre Thomas
Lance Moore was on clevelands PS
De Lupuente (sp?) center we had
Lelito maybe?
Snead I think may have been on Brown's PS also
Coleman like you said
Kelemete maybe his first year?
Not sure if some of those guys were really on PS or not. All I can think of

Austin Johnson? Joe Morgan?
Might be wrong, but wasn't Lance Moore there for a little while?
Chase Daniel has been a serviceable career backup.

Conflicting reports on Kaleb Eulls. Canal Street Chronicles has him with the Saints, and SB Nation has him with the Chargers.
EDIT: CSC says chargers now

We are very thin at pure tackle. I know Peat and Kelemete can play tackle, but they could be our starting guards, leaving us without a backup.
Though I do wonder if they will pull a Meach and resign either Hills or Barnes after week one so their salary isn't guaranteed.

Surprised Richardson is still eligible.

The rules changed some iirc because it was running some promising players out of the league too soon.
Before a guy like Richardson would have just been floating in FA right now and likely would miss a whole season of training with the team.

Yeah, I mean, I implied all that without spelling it out.
But that's fine.

I was hoping that the team we've fielded the past 4 weeks was the practice squad

Pretty sure he has appeared in too many regular season games. There are rules for the PS.
