My source in TAF still says Miles to Michigan and you can book it. I would bet the farm that we will get this statement even after RR is formally introduced.

Nice hire. Now LSU can worry about whuppin OSU arse. WVU can be mad that we hired two of there coaches. And WE can look forward to having a great, innovative coach at Michigan. Mary Sue Coleman RULES. Lucky BM has her to hold his hand.

Well Rocket, one thing's appears to be certain; it looks like my "old friends" still know what they're talking about.
You may or may not remember earlier in the week, but in one of the threads I responded to, you pointed me to a similar "Detroit Free Press" article that continued to raise questions about Les' intentions. I responded by saying that I still had some "old friends" that still "run in the circles" and that they shared with me Les was going nowhere and is here to stay, depsite what may have been reported elsewhere. Just glad to see they still now what they are talking about and happy to see Les IS a man of his word!

Yep. I wasn't ready for a coaching change. Althought I do admit I was intrigued by some of the possible candidates out there had Les gone.

I'll wait til ESPN reports it to believe it's true.

Great hire for Michigan. That offense should tear up the Big 10.

Not if Ryan Mallet is running the spread, lol.

I wasn't either! I guess this comment will still irk some of our faithful, but I recall telling my sons's three years ago when Les was hired, that I felt in my gut, that he was going to be LSU's "Bobby Bowden". They always reminded about the "Michigan clause" and I concured, but told them, if he doesn't go, I personally believe he will be here a long time. His personality, character, work ethic, and recruiting skills will eventually win Tiger fans over. Now, I really believe that to be the case. I do think the man is a good and decent person, and hopefully his actions through all of this will convince some of his detractors that we should be happy to have him. Now, if someone can teach him to "communicate" a little better in front of the media, we're "home free"! (LOL)

Why would he leave WVU? I thought he was alum there (not sure though) and has obviosuly done pretty well? All for an offer he can't refuse? I wonder how much WVU counter-offered? I can't imagine being swayed away if it wasn't that much of a difference. Alabama couldn't sway him last year and that seemed to be a considerable pay raise. Maybe he realizes he is losing his big names? How is WVU's recruiting class this year?

Looks like Les helped Michigan get a great coach and removed the biggest threat to his job here. And some people say he's dumb.

How much does the U. of West Virginia HATE Michigan? First their hoops coach and now their football coach. Boom.
