I wouldn't want matchmaking for raids. You'd at least need the option to select whether you want it or not.
It would a mega royal complete pain in the arse to have ransoms drop in who are idiots, or 8 year old kids, or anything like that on a raid. They're just too complicated. For nightfall, sure. But I would like the option to select whether or not I wanted matchmaking. I'd like to be able to solo and 2 man them if desired.
Ran some raids last night with 4 people and it was fun as hell. Would have hated to have randoms dropped in on us.

Well, certainly. I wouldn't want it forced. But if I happen to find 3 other people, I'd be really nice to just have an option to auto-find another 2 and get rolling. Unless you have a set of friends you play with all the time, that's really no different than going to the app and looking there.
And of course I'd want some kind of level matching there. Wouldn't want random 285s jumping in on my Oryx hard run. But I feel like there could be a balance.

True but there are also some 330s that cannot do the raid well either lol. I agree should have an option for matchmaking a least but it is complicated and everyone needs to be on same page.

I'm still kinda new to Destiny and haven't run any of the raids, but my gamertag is The Jcorey and I am definitely interested in Rise of Iron.
I'm up to a 318 light level, PoE grinding gets old as shite ha.

Yeah you never know if you are going to get a good drop. CoE and ranking up with factions is the best way to get a guaranteed higher light level weapon/armor, along with the raids. Sometimes doing the CoO also helps, just need to have the specific runes.

I used TLW in doubles and felt like bum. Killing people without aiming was way, way too easy. Soon as someone entered my FOV I could just hold down the trigger and not even worry about it. Primary application for TLW: crutch.

We had a strong year 1 group but year 2 was pretty disappointing with this group. We had trouble getting groups together and a lot of people didn't return for it. I'm hoping this year will be different.

Been playing since TTK and just did my first raid last week. Kings Fall NM. Was a blast.

I would be back in but they need to please PVP players. Loved the game but at release they gave PVE players the edge over PVP. Needs to be more of a balance.
