How long has this term been considered derogatory? I wonder if the NAACP (or National Association for the Advancement of Colored People) will lobby against her?
LINK

I was unaware that this was a derogatory term. It's very confusing when it is included in the name of the most prolific activist organization for said group.

Well, with people pushing for the use of the term "people of color", it's not difficult to make that mistake. People really need to stop getting offended by every little thing but they won't. It's only going to get worse.

So it's okay to use the same words if they are arranged differently??? WTF! When does it stop? By the way, is white not a color anymore? Has anyone opened a box of crayons and noticed that the white crayon is blank on its label? Neither have I.
