Cool Firearm Find During Flood Clean Up at Grandfather's House

During the flood cleanup this weekend at my grandfather house, we came across this Beistegui Bros 38 Long revolver. I still need to sit down and get the whole story from my grandfather himself. He owned a furniture store for many years on N. Foster in Baton Rouge. I was told that approximately 40 years ago, a man walked into the store needing money and sold my grandfather this gun for $20. My grandfather then proceeded to keep it loaded and use it as protection in his store from then on.
From what I can tell after a little googling, these were made in Spain between the years 1920 and 1936. It doesn't appear to be worth much, but will make a cool wall hanger for me with a little family history behind it. Looking forward to the full story from my grandfather.
Any gun experts on here know anything else about them?

Why anyone would downvote you is beyond me. Cool find.

No telling, maybe because its a $50 S&W knock off but it means more to me.

Found this pistol (not this exact one) in my grandfather's house along with 4 shotguns and an old Remington 552 Speedmaster while cleaning it out this past week.

Weird. It's showing up on my desktop and phone. I'll try to host it on imgur

It was in rough shape. Found it in bottom drawer of his dresser and had sat in water for a day or so. Got it out and cleaned it up good. It's in decent shape but is missing firing pin. Haven't had a chance to try to track one down yet, but I hear it could be hard to find.

That is a cool gun. I have always loved wheel guns and my day to day carry is a .38 ( I know I need bigger) but it's dependable and I can shoot good with it.

Those were Spanish made S&W copies. I've seen a few that were decent shooters but other than sentimental, not really of any value
