Never could get into The Avengers. Just seemed pretty meh to me.

Also while I enjoyed some of the Harry Potter movies I never understood the cult like obsession these movies get (the theme park seems pretty cool though).

I got berated at work for saying Bladerunner is overrated. I'm not saying I hate it, but it wasn't special at all in my opinion.

Yea, but doesn't Sarah Silverman get punched in the face at the beginning?

That scene alone gets it off the list.

Inception. Such a terribly contrived, self-destructing plot.

2001 - can't make it through that movie.
The Big Lebowski - several attempts, none successful.
Mad Max - love Tom Hardy, but if we weren't with another couple I'd have walked out.

again, another one of those movies that you go along at a party and say its awesome because everyone else is quoting it, but deep down you know it was very average

Whatever you need to tell yourself. Some people just don't get dry humor.

I laughed maybe twice during The Hangover. The Big Lebowski gets better every single time I watch it.

Same goes for The Grand Budapest Hotel, which may be the one of the greatest movies I've ever seen.

I agree that it is the single greatest third act in comedy history, but some people on this board have gotten pissed off that it went from a seemingly great murder mystery to out of control nonsense.

I'm one of them. Although I've gotten over it. I still love the movie, but I liked it a lot more before it went full retard.

Same way I feel about Kingsmen.

Because like Hot Fuzz, you can get caught up in the plot and then feel betrayed when the plot turns out to be meaningless to the film as a whole

Wait, what? How does that describe Hot Fuzz?

The thing is it's an over-the-top parody of over-the-top action movies, particularly from Bruckheimer. If was going to be a good parody then it had to devolve to the ending stupidity of most of those movies.

Because there is a very rational and integrate motive for Skinner to kill these people. In the end it just turns out he was killing these people for the most petty reasons possible, like a guy having a tacky house.
