I live on Ridge Rd. Parish just ordered evacuation for everyone back here. They say we gonna get 4 foot of water.

Just rode down Bluff, it's incredibly high.

What does this mean for folks off Bayou Paul in St. Gabriel?

Just came from back there. Where would this water be coming from

Heard this rumor once already and it was false. What's your source?

Bluff is fine where I need it to be fine. Didn't ride north further than ridge. Just went down ridge it's drive able all the way to the back. Low parts have water, high parts dont. Still wait & watch mode

There has been water pouring over alligator bayou road since Saturday and it has been rising at an inch an hour on the ridge side since Mid day yesterday and that has not yet changed.
There will probably not be a mandatory emergency evacuation unless the road fails.

They expect the road to wash out. I watched a dumbass jogger walk/wade through it heading to Bayou Paul Rd an hour ago

How much longer until y'all are in the clear?

Over is fine. Through is not. There is a massive difference. Alligator bayou road is at 10' so it's still holding back that much water and controlling the flow.
If alligator bayou road fails it will be tragic. Rather than 1"/hr @ Jim bayou, it will likely be several inches per hour and ridge road will be evacuated. You will have drastically increased flooding along hwy 74

Alligator bayou road needs to hold off the water for how much longer?

Probably a while. The gauge at manchac and bluff swamp is still rising a half an inch an hour.
At 11.10 feet as of now
