Ummm you do know that this same pervasive principle applies to both parties.

Yet, you quickly concluded that the person who was shot was a "thug who contributed less to society than the shooter."

We all know our legal system's stance regarding innocence and guilt. You can save us the unnecessary lesson if you're going to continuously show that you don't actually value the underlying moral and logical principles of that legal stance.

You completely ignore the perceived threat the shooter stated he felt he was experiencing that, if proven truthful, will completely exonerate him. The history of the deceased and the statements from the shooter paint a very different picture than the one you have chosen to believe. Sacrificing my owns rights so that a person actively engaging in a criminal act, culminating in threats against myself and property can be given his day in court is fricking hilarious and I don't believe you actually think that's the way it works. Prove that the shooter wasn't under duress and a real threat. Until then, stfu and spare me your obviously misguided thoughts on morality and how it pertains to the law.

I'm not ignoring it; I'm just not automatically assuming one way or the other when their are two parties.

But you're arguing that those are "facts" as if it is already truthful.

What do I believe? You've clearly stated where you stand, and what "history" that we know of validates any of your hasty conclusions?

And the statement from the shooter is, at best, inconsistent and illogical. But regardless those are not objective facts to base your strong opinion.

Prove that the shooter wasn't under duress and a real threat.
The facts should provide evidence on this; I'll wait a bit before jumping to a strong conclusion like yourself.

It's really amazing how you completely misunderstood my point, and then chose to jump to conclusions about things I didn't even bring up.

You've made illogical, unsupported statements and assumptions throughout this entire thread. Hopefully it's just an off day for you because it's terrible stuff.

Now you're back peddling and claiming you weren't implying the deceased should have been given an opportunity to state his case based of some twisted view on morality you hold? Typical.

All we know is what the shooter said and that the deceased was high. We know his criminal past. I made a judgment based on the history of the deceased and the shooters statement. Instead of rushing to defend the deceased and call the shooter a racist like so many of the mouth breathers in this thread just looking for the next fabricated gotcha moment did. You said it yourself and I agree, their are two parties involved here with two very different interpretations. More facts need to come out. If that happens, I will reevaluate my thoughts on this incident. Until then, I am going to side with the guy that doesn't have a criminal past and wasn't likely intoxicated at 1 am.

Now you're blatantly making shite up. Nowhere did it say he was high, just that he had marijuana on him. Even if he did it won't matter. If the kid that got shot didn't have a weapon on him, the shooter is screwed. You can't shoot into a crowd at random because you believe someone in said crowd has a firearm. He's even more screwed if the kid was in the street. He'll get at least voluntary manslaughter if the kid was unarmed.

Also frick you for stereotyping Tbird. You need to drop whatever fricked up preconcieved notion you have of what makes someone black. Like how does protesting make you black? It's a sliver of black people in America that do that shite. Does occupying government buildings make you white?

The judicial system already said otherwise. The idiot is currently behind bars for murder. No bail. Good luck!

So you are ignoring what the victim's friend said?

the truth is going to lie in the middle...victims friend will make sure he doesn't admit they did anything wrong and the shooter is going to try and make himself look like the victim.

If he thought that was the law, then it wasn't a lie...a mistake maybe, but NOT a lie. Quit jumping to conclusions just because he looks inbred.
