Car electrical issues

Acadia, wife's car (no pics) and she's at work
Symptoms:
Dead battery
Power windows work, but auto-up doesn't
Lift gate seems flaky
A/C not blowing cold (cools a bit while driving, fan maybe not turning?)
Is there a short somewhere?

Typically women neglect their autos...So both you and your wife are women?

What's the issue? All that sounds like typical General Motors ' issues.

Alternator?
After you jumped it did it keep running or did it die after a while?

From what you've described so far it sounds like an alternator issue to me.
A bad alternator will cause the battery to die... and after you jump start it can cause power issues with the electrical system. I'd have her get to the nearest Auto Zone type place after work and get them to check it. They should be able to tell if it's a problem with the battery or alternator.

I was thinking alternator as well.
And for the record, half the OT has jumped on your wife

2nd the alternator.
GM alternators are known to die early deaths. Sub 75K miles is when mine went out. How many miles on the car?

OP, sounds like your alternator went out. Have you had the battery checked out? How many cold cranks?

OK, so alternator seems to be the consensus. I figured if the vehicle runs indefinitely with a dead battery the alternator should be fine, but I guess not.
She's going to stop by autozone after work to get it checked out.

Sometimes, after losing power the auto-up feature needs to be reset/reprogrammed on the car.

To further troubleshoot-
There are two ports or posts that stick up from your battery, the negatively charged post and the positively charged post. There are cables that attach to each of these posts that run from your battery to your starter.
Sometimes the screws or bolts that connect the ports to the cables can become loose and the connection breaks. When this happens your car won't start at all. It will be completely dead because no power will be going from your battery to your starter.
So if you're trying to start your car and absolutely nothing is happening, check your connections. This problem can also be indicative of solenoid problems.

Don't buy your parts from autozone. Go to dealer and buy correct replacement.

Has the battery been replaced?
I don't understand what you are saying.
If all this started after her battery was dead and she got a jump, it could still be her battery.
Using Autozone as a diagnostic tool is hit or miss, mostly miss.
