What? We most certainly run a prostyle offense.

Utah is so loaded up front on both sides of the ball. The were also really young and rangy in the secondary last year and looked really good. That's going to be a really tough out.

We play Bama, @Stanford, and @Utah, all in September.

you run that table, you will make the playoffs ... that's a stout september ...

Well preparing for Houston's offense is essentially preparing for Ohio State's.

The lsu coach with the best tenure in school history?
The lsu coach with as many top 5 finishes than Saban, Mac,and Dietzel combined?
The coach with the 7th best win % in sec history and the #1 ooc win % in sec history?

I swear some of you live in an alternate universe where Miles 'tenure hasnt been the best tenure in lsu history.

To be fair, a LOT of y'all nearly ran Les out of town on a rail last year

You're absolutely correct, though.

I believe this is a make or break year for Miles but that doesnt mean i have to shite all over him and act like his tenure wasnt the best ever at lsu.
Ive never seen a fan base more willing to shite on its program's accomplishments just because they dont like the head coach.

If we don't win the west AND beat Bama then Les should go. This is a team built to win now. Unless there is a rash of major injuries, then there should be no excuses for us not to be in the playoffs. 12 wins or he needs to go. I see him gone. Only once has Les lost less than two games and that year led to what was possibly the most excruciating loss in LSU history. Again...NO EXCUSES!!!

LSU has the second most players in the NFL. How do they continue to have disappointing seasons? I just don't get it, and I put it on Les. i know he is partly responsible for that incredible talent, but would it hurt to win some more games with those players?

Unreasonable expectations. LSU can and has finished in the top 10, and fans have wanted him fired. The fact is that whoever ends up replacing him almost definitely won't be better. Few coaches in the country right now are, and they aren't giving up their jobs to come to LSU. But some people just like to be miserable.

If you look at the most successful period in school history and all you see is disappointing seasons then the issue is with you.

Bias aside, I agree. As long as the coaches stick to what Kelly started, they'll be successful. What's crazy is that Kelly was here a short time too. Those Kelly Ducks teams put Oregon on the map nationally. I know Harringron was a big name from speaking to some of the older Duck fans, but that's all anybody talks about with those early 2000s Ducks. It's not a player or multiple players that is associated with the Ducks of today, but it's Kelly even though he's been gone for awhile now.

ALL OF THIS!!

The defense was so painfully bad that the only way you can get worse is if we went out tanked on the recruiting trails. We'd have to go out of our way to be worse than we were last year.

LSU's line averaged 275lbs last season, will average 310 this season. I think we finally see the defense get back to top 3 in the league.

Didn't you go from a 4-3 to 3-4? Your 2011 line with Mingo, Brockers, Logan and Montgomery was salty and went 270ish. If weight mattered, Oregon would've led defense in the Pac 12.

JC..

Clemson?

You have to be able to not completely blow bowl games during your entire history (not to mention choking last year with a better team and reinforcing everything about the team that just submits when it matters) to win a Natty.

People are really buying into the hype. The team had zero offense last year. Browning is short, Ross is a gimp and the offensive line isn't championship caliber.

I agree that there's too much hype and that I am not buying into it until I see improvement in the offense, but saying stuff like "Ross is a gimp" is just dumb. Maybe "was a gimp" when he was injured last year. He just ran a 4.25 in the spring. He's one of the fastest and most electric players in the country. In 2014, he was scoring a TD like 20% of the time he had the ball in his hands and must have had 4 or 5 return TDs that were called back from holding, in addition to his 2 that counted. And Browning is plenty tall enough at 6'2" to be a college QB. This isn't the NFL draft.

The Clemson/Florida St game will decide the ACC bid imo.

The SEC has too many unknowns at this point. If Tennessee can survive the month of October (UF,@UGA,@TAMU,BAMA) they have a decent shot. As of right now, I'd pencil in Tennessee & Alabama in the SECCG

Personally I don't think tOSU will fall off as much as people think. They play OU & Mich St on the road. Michigan's schedule also sets up pretty nicely for them to have a run.

The BIG12 looks like OU's for the taking. Which means OU will find a way to lose to someone like TTU or ISU for no reason at all. I'm curious how TCU will look with Kenny Hill under center.

Finally, the PAC12. The one thing I don't like about Stanford's schedule is the fact they have a bye week on week 2 of the CFB season. That's a pretty rough task to show up every single week from then on. The UWash hype seems a bit odd to me. But who knows how they will look and USC will find a way to lose three games and end up in the Sun Bowl on CBS for Uncle Verne's last game ever called.

Possible, but the road schedule is pretty tough. the 2 you mentioned and Wisky/PSU back to back weeks. Neither of those two teams will be great but getting "up" to go on the road to hostile places two weeks in a row is.

PSU is more unnerving as it will prob be at 8pm in a white out

I guess, but when I see "top 5 recruiting class" and "most players in the NFL" every year, I consider 10-3 and 3rd place in the division disappointing.
