OT, I know but I've really acquired a taste for bass lately... Been experimenting with different ways of cooking then

Absolute best fresh water fish for eating. Really only needs lemon and maybe tartar, but could easily be eaten alone.
Large walleyes are to be thrown back. Best eating are about 2-3 lbs.
Fun fishing. They fight a smidge. Not like fresh water trout or bass, but a decent fight.

Tastes decent but not as great as the 1000's of saltwater species.

I've eaten Walleye my whole life, very good, hearty, fresh tasting fish. Best fried fish you can eat.
Also to all the people thinking you have to go way up north to find them, you don't. My family has killed more than I can count spearfishing in Lake Ouchita for the last 30+ yrs. They were all in less than 20ft of water also.
Any deep mountain lake in Arkansas will have tons of Walleye.
