She is taking it again, going to Dallas for some course for like six weeks. So assuming she passes it this time, basically what you are telling me is nowhere will accept her for residency and it is a waste of time.

I would disagree with that. No one knows for sure if she gets accepted or not. I applaud her for being determined and not giving up.

There will always be places that will take a warm body that passes Step 1.

Sounds like she's just piling up 100s of thousands of dollars in student debt that she will never be able to pay back.

A caribbean grad that failed step 1 twice? IMO yes.

I mean if she somehow honored all her rotations and killed step 2 i guess there's still a small chance of matching in bumfrick nowhere in family medicine - but given she's failed step 1 twice, it doesn't seem like testing is her strong suit.

I'm not going to tell anyone to give up on their dream, but the chips are weighted against her and that's a lot of debt to be gambling with.
