In terms of radio/Tv sports show hosts?

I love listening to McFarland talk about college football.
Marcus Spears, not so much.

One is professional, other is more like a clown show. .. To his credit finbaum's antics and show doesn't help his image.
Anthony strikes me as a LSU tiger to the core, spears is much or a more a sabanite as a LSU tiger.

Just wondering others thoughts.

Booger seems like he is always mad at LSU and Miles no matter what.

Your perception is tainted because you hate Saban. Spears is very good at what he does and is very much a Tiger through and through.

Booger is pretty damn awesome though.

This is true, but not because Spears is bad, but because Booger is that good.

Marcus Spears is the man. Great guy. I've met him and he's been very generous to media students at LSU. I also enjoy his on-air personality. It's the same as he is off camera, which is fantastic.

If rarely being right is your idea of good, vote for Booger. I prefer Marcus and think its common knowledge among LSU fans that he is the one that has a much brighter future.

I like Booger on TV.

During my 1st semester at LSU as a freshman, I had a Business Calculus class with Booger (and Chuck Wiley). Booger was always engaged and talkative, but in a good way.

Our teacher was a distinguished black man in his 50s that always wore a suit. Continued to refer to him as Anthony, even as everyone around campus (and TV commentators) only called him Booger.

During the week of the Auburn game (Bring Back the Magic), Booger made a bet with the teacher. If LSU won, he would get to drive the teacher's nice car for a week. If Auburn won, Booger would have to teach a class. The teacher asked, what is Auburn ranked? Booger said 3rd (or whatever it was) and the teacher said "Well, I know you guys aren't so I'll make that bet."

The following Monday, the teacher started by saying "Now Anthony, I was prepared to follow through on the bet but thought I should have a short discussion with the compliance guys. Turns out I can't let you drive my car but I can allow you to co-teach a class with me. Congrats!"

The few times I've accidentally watched ESPN when it wasn't a sporting event and Booger was talking, I liked it. Can't believe people actively watch that stuff, though.

I like them both, but I think Booger's analysis is better.

Also, the look on his face after they announced that Les was staying was priceless.

You're exaggerating. A "clown show"? Please.

ATA: Sabanite? No. He's a loyal Tiger.

Hell no... Marcus is much better. Booger just repeats obvious points over and over in an articulate way. Marcus has way more soul about what he says.

I prefer Spears more. He's exciting, fun, and very passionate. You can see that Marcus truly loves the game. Booger is good too but seems kinda bland to me.
