I mean, Opus isn't in my personal Top 3, but WTF would you consider a "legit" single IPA offering? You judging by taste or cost efficiency?

Seriously?
Name a good "Single" IPA from Louisiana.

Now, name another good "Single" IPA, come on man, do I seriously need to do this?
Deschutes Fresh Squeezed, Founders All day, Lagunitas, Jai Alai

Parish needs a "flagship" beer besides Canebreak that can be an all day drinker. Ditch Southcoast, make an IPA.

Ghost already competes in the IIPA category with Pliny, Heady, etc...

Opus was supposed to fill in the IPA category to compete with the 7% and unders, Julius, Congress Street, Focal Banger

Opus isn't a different beer. It was a different beer back in May. It's just Ghost lite now.

First batch OV was awesome. If second batch comes out a little more like ghost, but lighter, I'm not gonna complain.

In my personal opinion of tastes, I'd take Opus over single IPAs of those other brands you named except for the Jai Alai. That's probably 3 or 4th in my personal favorites.

Now I've never tried Julius, but if it really is what the beer nerds say it is, then that's like saying Andrew Luck is a bust as a QB and not legit because he's not Tom Brady.

What the hell kind of logic is that??

Ditch Southcoast? That's a delicious beer and it's not even the same category. What does Southcoast have to do with anything?
