They actually made this app to get kids outside. It works. My 13 year old took off on his bike yesterday searching for Pokemon. First time he's had that bike out all year.

It gets the fatasses moving.

Although thieves are already targeting these nerds, as they sit and wait for them to visit an area. They have the game up, so they know people will hit that area and they are just waiting for the easy steal.

Does anyone else think that this app will go horribly wrong one day? Like, the kids will end up in some pervs van or something? I would be really worried about this.

This is not true in most cases. Call it racism or prejudice but I've seen many people change their views as they have aged based on interactions they have had.

I know a black police officer that moved to Louisiana from a very liberal northern state. He was scared to death to come down here from everything he had heard about southern whites. His words now " I see now why so many southern whites don't like the blacks in the south. They wouldn't be welcomed anywhere in the country no matter what their skin color with the way they behave"

Why do parents these days let their kids be lazy lil peckerheads? If my dad caught us inside the house on a sunny day he would have tanned our hides. We either had to help the old man outside or find something to do. Which we always did.

I had a friend from up north say the exact same thing. When she arrived, we were "racist" for telling her to not go to certain parts of town. Less than a year later, this girl is one of the most racist people I know. She says that our black folks are different than up north.

Also, this leads kids to peoples houses, yeah, a pedo wont set up a beacon(?) and get kids there, yeah, wont happen.

The thieves set up beacons, and when pokedorks followed, they robbed them.

I got the app a few days ago. Most beacons are at churches, schools, colleges, and other public "landmark" places. From what I can tell, there is no way, in app, to just set up a beacon. If there were, kids would just put them at their own house and not leave.

It's really strange to me. Look at the interviews done with protestors in Dallas. For the most part well spoken and civilized. Baton Rouge has morons that sound like they have a mouth full of mud. Houston more resembles Baton Rouge. Are we too far south? Too close to a large body of water?
