I didn't know you could use an EBT card to donate through GoFundMe.

Alton knew what he was doing all along. This is his free insurance policy for his family.

If he hasn't paid child support, it should go to the state because we've been footing the bill.
Trash gonna trash.

How does this work? Does it get taxed? Will they still be eligible for the snap program?

Yet we see athletes make that kind of cash in one week yet they still end up addicted to drugs and broke. And these are guys that actually went out and earned it.

Yeah I mean it doesn't guarantee to break the cycle but a college education certainly helps, no?

I'm sure it's already been said but like his chillrens are really going to college. #POS

I wish I had the attention span to follow what happens with this family over the next 10 years or so- to see how many of these kids actually graduate from college and how the family spends this money.

Rae set a goal of reaching $200,000, which she said could provide $40,000 per child to go to college.
She's forgetting about the governments slice that will be taken out due to taxes. Hopefully they will put it into separate tax free accounts for college education.

They should re-name the fund Scott's Tots

Yes, but the individual has to be motivated. No one is going to baby you or take excuses in college. A person that doesn't value it, will never put that opportunity to good use.
The kids absolutely deserve the opportunity, but I'm just afraid this money won't actually go to that. We are dealing with adults, and people are selfish.

I ain't donating shite. Thugs in the making.
Posted on 7/7/16 at 6:22 pm to dgnx6
Yeah I hope it gets used properly too. I'm more comfortable with a national figure like the creator than I am with some aunt or uncle starting it up, and I'm sure that has alot to do with the donation levels.

Hoping it indeeds get put toward a scholarship fund for his children and they can attend college and break the cycle they are currently in.

Slightly off topic, but are creators of GoFundMe pages bound by any sort of fiduciary responsibilities? Can they be prosecuted for fraud?

From the description of the fundraiser
From GoFundMe's Terms & Conditions
It absolutely blows my mind that people would donate to this campaign, even though the sponsor has no obligation to give it to the family.

Is this going to be like that kid on Twitch that pledged $50,000 as a joke?
Is this man's wife going to try to cash the check to have it bounce sky high?
