Last week my daughter was bitten by a spider. she never saw it but had two distinct fang marks on her leg. I didn't know about it until she complained that her leg hurt later that evening. We had been several places that day so I assumed it had gotten her somewhere along the way. Fast forward to today. We drove into town and when she got out of her car seat she had another red mark lower down on her same leg.

I have pretty much torn the Suburban apart trying to find it. Removed and inspected her car seat, checked everywhere under the seats and floorboards. I only found one small web under the seats but it looked old and pretty ratty and no spider around or in it. I haven't found any other trace of ants or bugs, alive or dead in the Suburban. Now I'm scratching my head.

Looking for a product (other than a flamethrower) that will kill this pest. Needs to be safe enough to use in a vehicle that won't harm my 3 kids. Since I can't find the spider I need it to kill with residual residues instead of directly spraying it. Any ideas are welcome and I thank you for taking the time to help.

I use Bifen IT on the outside of the house. It is safe for pets once it dries in a few hours. I haven't used it of any indoor applications.

Suspend SC is the best product for spiders. It does say to not spray in aircraft cabins, which would be similiar to a truck cabin. I would however try using it under and behind all seats, as well as any tight places. Keep the truck doors open at time of application and be sure to wipe off any spray that may come onto contact of an area of seat that will be sat on.

We use Suspend SC indoors constantly and have had ZERO issues with it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am taking the time to research each recommendation.

I live in south Florida so I can't haul it to a cold place.

Bug Bomb and the Demon WP idea is good just not sure I want to set it off in a vehicle I have owned for 6 months and still owe a serious chunk of change on. Demon WP claims to leave a white residue behind. I am about to look at the MSDS on Suspend now.

As far as fleas are concerned, we have never had a problem with them. Our dogs are treated monthly and her bite marks are just not consistent with a flea bite. We also have our home and yard sprayed by a pest control company every 45 days. She says it hurts, no itching. I also think if it was a flea then someone other than her would have been bitten. We haul 5 people around constantly. Anyway here's a pic. Judge for yourself. Thanks again OB.

EDIT: cause I suck at posting pics
