I'm sure it has been discussed but the math isn't adding up. They're already over the cap. They're willing to pay 54 million in luxury tax to resign JR. Wade or Lebron will have to play for basically nothing or JR and or Love will have to be shopped. (JR is a UFR). Can it work and how?

I don't believe so, but stranger things have happened.

Wade values his legacy in Miami. Miami fans would give him a pass if he got the $50 million he wants from Milwaukee (where he played his college ball) or Chicago (his hometown). They would never forgive him if he went to the Knicks or joined LeBron in Cleveland.

Riley should have thought about that before convincing him to take less money on a 1 year deal then offering him 10 mil this offseason.

I don't know what Cleveland will have to sacrifice to get Wade and JR. Luxury tax will be enormous but apperantly their pockets are REALLY REALLY deep. I think it's a good possibility they get both.

You really think Riley only offered a 1 year, $10 million deal this time? And then he just upped to $40 million over 2 years when he couldn't land Durant. Wade wasn't unhappy about the 1 year deal last year. He opted out in 2014 and 2015.

It's a bad idea for Cleveland IMO, assuming they'd have to ship other players to make room.

I always thought Wade had post nba plans that involved working with the Heat. I don't see how that happens if he bolts especially to Cleveland.

When have I heard this before... LeBron.

Also, Miami would welcome him back with open arms if it were a post career executive type move, no question.

Cavs would have to move Shumpert and Frye to get Wade his money.
Shump gets 9-10 mil next year
Frye gets 8 mil next year.
All that in return makes up Wade's salary.

I think the best way to do this would be to have Philly sign Wade to a 3 year 60 million dollar deal with a player option with the agreement that he'd never actually play in Philly. Few months pass and you trade Shumpert(who Philly needs) and Frye(who they could flip for other assets).
