Alex Bregman (2-for-4) created the fireworks in his Triple-A home debut, smashing two home runs en route to the win. Since his promotion, he has four homers and 11 RBI in five days.

Dallas has a decent era in his last few starts hopefully he continues to build on it and can get us pretty far before going to the pen.

Tough pitcher tonight.
I wonder how long they will give reed. I think reed will be a great major league player and he is a traditionally slow starter at each level. Let's predict reeds stats this year(not traded and with the Astros the rest of the way).

They need to see what they have with him. He might be better suited to play more, kind of hard to "figure things out" when you're starting once every few days.

While they are in the hunt for playoffs they can't afford to let a guy go too long if he looks lost as a goose. They have other options that are at least somewhat competent. Now if we tank and fall out of the race in early August he should play everyday

Walker is a damn good pitcher which makes yesterday's win that much bigger. If we're gonna win tonight it's gonna have to be similar to how we beat Shoemaker with LAA....hang around in a 1-1 game or something similar and then make our run against their bullpen late in the game

Seen a few different sources talk about Rangers pursuing a starter through the trade market. Been linked to Tampa (Odorizzi among others) as well as Ervin Santana

I hope ted tucker develops power like correa did. All the experts predicted power for correa even when he wasn't hitting double digit home runs. They predict power for tucker as well so hopefully that develops. His hit tool with average power would be nasty.

Save America's Pastime
Ouch, have yall seen this?
The spread between the haves and have nots continues to grow. Seems unamerican to me.

salaries start at $1,150 per month for the lowest minor league levels and escalate to as high as $2,700 per month for players who are in their third year of AAA-level baseball. They get $25 a day in meal money. And they’re only paid from April through September — the length of the season. They’re not even paid for spring training

I think KTuck will develop power. He's a 6'4" twig right now so hopefully he fills out and starts driving the ball over the fence over the next few years.

My comp on Ted is Larry walker. He will grow into his frame and mash. The kid had a great hit tool....can run and has a very strong arm.

We will put Teddy in workouts with Altuve and Bregman. After one offseason, Tucker will be ready for the World's Strongest Man competition.

Not to be completely overshadowed by Bregatron, Teoscar has also put up good numbers in his first 5 games in Fresno.

High hopes for Teoscar because he has all the tools.
Interestingly on Valbuena, his BA is higher versus lefties this year. He's playing like the ~.350 OBP guy he was for the Cubs in 2014 but with more pop. We may see him stay in the No. 2 spot the rest of the year.
With the way Bregman is swinging it, he may be in the 5 or 6 hole when he's called up this month (it's happening).

Bregman is going to force Ludlow's hand

Keuchel looked weak in KC last week. Got knocked around pretty good. Either he has an issue or needs to crank it up a notch. He just looked slow to me. He will be a key to the team being successful this year.

Over/Under at 12.5 Fresno games until he's called up (assuming he keeps raking)

Going watch the Astros at home vs the Angles late in July... Chances Bregs makes his debut? I give it a 40% chance
