Those are simply the numbers you must have to qualify for combat jobs BEFORE you begin day 1 of boot camp. Honestly, those numbers are almost the same as boot camp entry in 1996, which is when I joined.

You must progress at a certain rate during boot camp and be able to reach a much higher physical fitness score before graduating.

I was a recruiter from 2011-2014 and our command wouldn't even ship kids unless the doubled the standard.

Pre-accession Initial Strength test was 3 Pull-ups, 44 crunches in 2 minutes and under 13:30 mile and half.

If our kids wernt doing 6 Pull-ups, 60 crunches and under 12 minutes within 90 days they'd get discharged from the delayed entry program.
