Not really an apples to apples comparison, but it's still MJ easily for me. And I love Lebron.

And the East wasn't a cake walk in Lebron's entire time either. Those 2008-2012 Celtics teams were as good as anyone in the NBA.

Bron has played 3 more seasons at 31. But that is a positive for LeBron, not a negative. If MJ is in the league at age 18-20, he doesn't win any earlier

LeBron has already played more minutes than MJ by a wide margin. I doubt he'll continue at this level for much longer; even in this series he was limited in effectiveness until his jumper decided to show up.
Having said that it's amazing how quickly the narrative can turn. Just a couple weeks ago the book had been written on LeBron's career.

the fact that lebron lead the cavs to a title appearance in 2007, with Larry Hughes, daniel "booby" gibson, and drew gooden as starters speaks volumes. I don't care if they got swept by the much superior spurs that finals. he had a team full of nobodies that year. let's not forget that the cavs were down 2-0 to the pistons that year, who were the East favorites, and beat them en route to the finals

Exactly. A week ago everyone had given up on proving he's better than MJ. Now everyone's back on the bandwagon

I hope LBJ wins 3 more rings so I can hear people tell me that only going to 6 finals and winning them all is better than going 10 times and winning the same amount of rings.

Pretty crazy to think MJ won his last title at 35 and was the finals MVP. I think with how LeBron prepares for the playoffs during the regular season, he can get atleast two more.

so 2 of his finals runs he faced a good team in the east
The east has been week the last few years. The Bulls and Celtics were both good though. I am not intending to shite on Lebron. What he did in this finals was insane... just saying he's had an easier path to get there. No objective person would argue against that.

Definitely not, but Jordan was the better player. I'll admit it's not by much. Lebron is pretty easily #2 for me.

I think LeBron has a few more years being the best player on earth than he will decline, but still be a pretty dominant post player.
Guy is gonna end up with one hell of a career.

Lebron also more years in the league at this point
A fact you guys love to leave out.

Stop it. LeBron is my guy, but can we stop with Jordan comparisons.
I'm a Lebron guy and inclined to agree with this.
But I'm not going to completely dismiss his ability to catch him. It's a low probability but if he can keep racking up the Finals appearances who knows.
But it's just incredibly difficult to imagine him even catching MJ statistically. He's already behind MJ in PER and we're not even factoring in his inevitable decline. He has to get a couple more Miami-quality statistical years and I don't see that happening.

MJ and the Bulls Three-Peated twice. Get there and Lebron can sniff MJ's nut stank.

3-4 > 3-0
Who fricking cares about what the winning percentage of the finals is. MJ lost just as many playoff series, but Lebrons teams were good enough to atleast get to the finals.

We've been over this. The east had 8 of the top 12 teams these year.
It's not like Golden state was playing some insane gauntlet the last two years during the playoffs. Only 2 good teams they played these last two years were OKC and Cleveland.
