Any news on him lately? North Dakota is shutting their program down and he said he wanted to pitch in the SEC. He is a lefty.
TIA

He got drafted in the 11th round. Haven't seen anything on him lately other than that he was touring SEC schools.

2015 (Sophomore): Made 14 starts on the mound in the UND weekend rotation ... Went 6-7 with a 4.46 ERA ... His six wins ranked tied for seventh all-time for a single season at UND ... Pitched 82.2 innings, third-most at the school in a season ... Earned first win of the campaign with a five-inning, four-hit outing at UC Riverside (Mar. 14) ... Won four straight starts from Apr. 11 to May 2, going into the seventh inning on each occasion ... Threw 29.2 innings and allowed just two runs in that stretch (0.61 ERA) ... Had back-to-back outings without a run with an eight-inning win over Sacramento State (Apr. 25) and a 7.1 IP win over Texas-Pan American (May 2) ... Struck out 57 batters and walked just 21 on the season ... Allowed three or fewer earned runs in eight of his starts ... Squandered just a single earned run in four innings in his season debut against CWS qualifier Arkansas (Feb. 14) ... A work horse, he pitched into the sixth inning in all but three starts ... Named to the WAC All-Academic Team ... Earned second letter.
2014 (Freshman): Played a pivotal role in the pitching rotation, racking up 65.1 innings of work while allowing 59 hits and recording a team-high 44 strikeouts and a sparkling 3.44 ERA, tops among UND starters … Went 2-4 in his rookie season, making 11 starts … Threw 8.0 innings while allowing a mere four hits and recording an impressive eight strikeouts in his third career start (Mar. 15 at Utah Valley) for his first win … Took the weight off the bullpen by going 6+ innings deep in six of his 11 starts … Longest outing of the season was a 9.1-inning win at Chicago State where he squandered just five hits and punched out four batters … Allowed one run or less in four of his 11 starts ... Named to the WAC All-Academic Team … Earned first letter.
Before UND: Recorded a sparkling 0.81 earned run average as a senior ... Threw 66 innings and punched out 63 batters in leading the Tigers to the Minnesota Class AA State Tournament for the second consecutive season ... One of 16,000 semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship program ... Looking forward to majoring in mechanical engineering at UND.

3-8
3.59 ERA
2 Complete Games
92.2 IP
87 Hits
14 BBs
99 Ks
1 WP
.245 avg against
Impressive numbers for the most part. Average against is kind of high and his team must not have scored many runs for him to have a 3-8 record. He threw 8 innings against Bama earlier this year striking out 12 and giving up 2 runs.
ETA: Also threw CG shutout against USC with only 3 hits and 9 Ks
He did give up 4+ ER in 7 of his starts.
His K/BB ratio and only 1 wild pitch in almost 100 IP is incredible though

He may take the money. Hope not.

Looks really good. 90's lefty with a 7/1 K/BB ratio.
Competition was shite, but we could definitely use him.

Bama, Sac St, Utah Valley are all common opponents to LSU. Then throw in USC, Creighton, Grand Canyon, and Kansas and it's good enough to get a read on him.

11th round you would think he would be gone, but I would love to get him in purple and gold

Hadn't heard that ND is shutting down baseball. What's the story there?

I'm sure they lose money on it. Most baseball programs aren't big revenue earners and even less so for small schools like that.
Just a guess.

The overhead is still pretty low. Most small school programs survive on fundraising and donations. Must be in pretty bad shape if they want to shutter it completely.

Ever try playing baseball in ND?

Must be a bad situation if you're cutting golf.

oil and nat gas price collapse..ND as a state facing economic hardship..sound's familiar

eh, baseball probably has the highest travel expenses, especially for a school like ND that has to play the first half of the season on the road. And baseball has large equipment overhead. Baseball is probably third to football and basketball in terms of overhead if i had to guess.
