Totally irrelevant, and you miss the point. It isn't that they are arrested for fabricated crimes. It is that wealthier people either don't get arrested for the same crimes because they were never investigated or they have better representation and therefore get off for the same crimes.
You can't use a stat to support your argument for profiling when profiling contributes to that stat in the first place. It's a spurious argument.

That doesn't show what you said. For one thing it's arrest records which is different than total crimes committed. Secondly it shows a breakdown by age and that breakdown shows that black people under 18 commit far fewer violent crimes than blacks over 18 and a really small fraction of the total. How does this prove your point that young black males commit half of violent crimes?

Used to be able to cry my way out of a ticket. Then I grew up and had friends that fixed my tickets. Now I use cruise (knock on wood) and don't drive like I'm on fire.

My parents owned the gas station convenience store on our side of the County so I knew most of them and never really had a problem. Got took or was followed home quite a few times. In the few interactions with ones I didn't know a bunch of yes sir, no sir, and doing whatever I was told kept my problems to a minimum and for the most part out of jail.
I have been a wise arse twice and neither time worked out well. The only other time I argued with an officer I was dead right. She pulled me over for not coming to a "complete yield". There was not a single car on the road (except for her parked on the shoulder 300 yards from me) so I did not slow down when pulling into the intersection. I told her that I did not have to slow down because there was nothing to yield to. We then spent what seemed like 10 minutes arguing over the definition of yield. She finally let me go when I asked was the camera recording and could I have her name and badge number.
Bottom line do as you are asked, show some respect and 99% of the time things will be fine. Even if they tell you to do some bullshite, do it and take it up in court later.

Treat them with respect and do everything they ask. I've never had any issues and never gotten a ticket. Some of my dumbass friends in college would argue with police officers about why they shouldn't get a ticket for rolling through a stop sign or "only going over the speed limit 8 miles per hour" and guess what? They all got tickets.

We have very different perspectives on what constitutes turning out fine. Getting a BS ticket and having to go to court is not an interaction that turned out fine imo. Or is that the 1% where it doesn't? That's about 25% of my interactions.

I had a similar experience in HS.
A friend and I were dropping off another friend after a party and saw a cop that had someone else pulled over about a half mile ahead of me. Another cop was coming towards us and flashed his lights at me but never got behind us. The cop that pulled the other car over waved us down as we approached him and said I was doing 48 in a 35. My friend and I respectfully argued that I was not speeding especially since we saw his lights. Seemed like it went on for 5-10 mins. He eventually let me go because he knew he was full of shite.

I was pulled over on I10 in La for 75 in a 70 back when I was in med school. This wa mid July and it wa 100+ outside. He asked to search my car and I politely refused. The trooper had me step out of the car and I had my wife lock the door behind me. I guess this pissed him off as he threw me against the car and cuffed me. He said I made furtive movements...which was a lie. He then had my wife and 3yr old son get out of the car and sat us all down in the side of the interstate for an hour waiting for a K-9 unit. K-9 promptly "alerted" on my car so they tore up my car and threw everything in the ditch. They broke my glove box and tore my seat trying to get the rear seat out. When he didn't find anything he searched my wife and son. Still nothing. He then told me that he could take me to jail for assault on an officer and resisting arrest but he was going to do me a favor and let me go. They got in their vehicles and left. I was ficking livid. We spent 30mins picking up our shite in the sweltering heat.
I filed a complaint and sued those bitches. Judge threw it out bc the trooper "was in fear for his safety" when I got out of the car (lol) and he claimed to smell marijuana. Neither me nor my wife have ever used drugs.
All total that stop cost me over $5k.
I've been in the FTP crowd ever since.
BTW, I'm white and clean cut and wasn't rude or disrespectful.

I bribed cops a few times. no ticket. no points.
I just pay no matter how big a set up it looks like.
when I pay in cash, I know its just a bribe, a kind of scam.

But I've had great traffic stop experiences since then. For the most part. Lots of small town cops with nothing better to do. But they were polite and pleasant

You sound like you are one of the unlucky couple of percent that found a douche on a power trip. I have seen them do some shite like that before it has just been my experience that that is the exception and not the rule.

I'm always guilty, so I admit it apologetically and remain respectful. More often than not, I get just a warning. If I get a ticket, I pay it.
