And/or warrior or fighter?

I think Selmy had that title until his death. Who has it now? For simplicity let's keep it to characters who are still alive in both the show and the book.

Since Syrio is likely dead, probably some water dancer in bravos.

I would think that would have to go to Loras now. They compare him to a young Jaime and Jaime is minus his sword hand.

Best warrior/fighter would be Robert Strong feeling no pain with the strength of the Mountain.

The mountain isn't a good swordsman he's just strong. The answer is Brienne

Snow - look at all the people he's fought.

No one else could go sword to sword against an officer in the white walker army. He turned that general into ice cubes.

Selmy got destroyed by the Sons of the Harpy.
Loras couldn't fend off the sparrows.
Mountain was beaten by Oberyn.
Brienne only beat the Hound and Stannis when they were compromised.

Snow has defeated the best of the best (Tormands Bane, the scarface wilding, and general ice man).

Probably Dany due to her unquestionable fire immunity, especially in the books.

Robert Strong.. but of the "good guys", Jon Snow is a decent swordsman.

Nights king may be up there.

You hang around for 8000 years, you're doing something right.

Ser Bronn of the Blackwater is clearly the correct answer.

If Jaime still had 2 hands it would be him.

If we are talking about characters who are or may be alive right now, it's hard to say. Randyl Tarly is probably great, Brienne is solid, The Hound as well. Jon is pretty average/about the equivalent to Ned in the books. He's much better on the show at sword fighting. I definitely think he could whoop Ramsey's arse though.

Oh and the Blackfish isn't shabby either/is the most warrior like of House Tully.

Arthur Dayne is the best in terms of the relevant GoT universe in on the novels. His 5 minutes of screen time in the show was easily the best impressive display of swordsmanship we've seen in that adaptation. Successfully taking down four trained swordsman at once (and wielding two longswords skillfully at the same time) is a rare skill.

Not saying he's the best, but on the show Jorah wasn't a slouch until his last episode.

Again, not the best, but could hold his own more often than not.
