I think I am going to have to replace tires on a Honda Fit and a Tundra and it's been a while since I bought new tires for a vehicle. Suggestions on places in BR or on brands?

I typically knight for skidmarks, but I don't think I'll be going there again. Brought my truck in Saturday to have them check out my brakes and they want $600 to change my back drum brakes and another $1100 because my master cylinder and brake booster are bad

I know of 2 people that have recently had great experiences at Skid Marks. One in Denham and one in Gonzales.

I deal with Devon Holley at Wooddale or Corey at Airline Treads and Care and have for 30 years.

Myles Holley is Devons brother and he owns Skid Marks and they are changing their name too. Not that that matters. I use them occasionally but Treads and Care is better.

I've talked to you before about it and you suggested Cajun Automotive. I just brought it by Skidmarks because we were in the area. I was expecting them to tell me about the rear brakes. Evidently wheel cylinders are bad too. Still didn't think it would cost almost $600

My BIL is very handy when comes to stuff like this, so it looks like we may be changing them. I've just never changed drum brakes and I don't know how comfortable I feel about it. He said that it shouldn't be a problem.

They told me that I had a little brake fluid in my booster and that the master cylinder, booster & vacuum all needed replacing because of that. I figured that I'd just attempt to get that brake fluid and maybe replace the master cylinder. What else would cause brake fluid to build in booster?

ETA: They also wanted almost $600 for a tuneup.

nothing. You have a leaking master cylinder. You can do it all yourself if you want ,or bring it to me Friday in Walker and i'll change out everything for $175

You bring your own parts.
