I am 46 years old and I do not diet. I do eat healthy meals especially during the week and do not snack on junk food often but I only eat until I am full not stuffed. I lift weights(not heavy) but at a cardio pace 2-3 days a week. I also run 2 miles about twice a week and I am in just as good of shape as I was when I was in my 20's.

I think cooking your own food is more important than anything. Processed foods get people fat more than fatty foods get people fat.

Thing is, I think everyone is different and what works for me might not work for someone else as effective. I wish I knew the right answer for everyone because I would be a rich man.

Reminds me of the hulkklogan fitness advice days where the kid weighed more than 275lbs for two years straight despite doing a "low carb" diet.

Just lol

These threads are always the same with back and forth about whether calories in/out is all that matters, whether fat is OK, whether sugar is OK, whether micronutrients matter, etc, etc. I never know who is smart or full of shite out of mouton, rocket, CAD, et al.

I would not necessarily believe paleo or Atkins gurus, but I did watch that "Sugar: the Bitter Truth" thing and Dr. Lustig seems like a smart guy. I think he thought fat is OK and sugar is the debil. So, that's good enough for me.

Can you imagine a fat American tourist trying to order something trashy like this at an espresso shop in Rome or Paris?

"Non, Mademoiselle . Je refuse de faire cela."
