How have we won 8 straight?
Posted on 5/16/16 at 2:44 pm to GeismarGeauxer
We played shitty teams

If the bats are working were actually a good team but if not our pitching and defensive flaws are exposed, were hitting right now.

Of our 17 SEC wins, 11 came against the bottom 4 SEC teams, @Tennessee, Arkansas, @ Mizzou, and @Auburn.
Against top half SEC teams we are 6-9.
Still I believe we have slowly gotten better. If we can get good starting pitching and consistent adequate relief pitching, we could actually be dangerous in the SEC and NCAA tournaments.
If we could win the UF series, I think that would give us all a lot of confidence going forward.

Weak competition and finally getting a little bit of help on the mound from someone not named Alex.

The Tigers have scored their opponents 8 straight times.

LSU has won 5 of the 8 by 1 run. All 3 of the teams are in the best 2 conferences around, so I wouldn't say they are shitty, but very doubtful they will be playing in the post season.

I think Florida, umat, and MSU have separated themselves. The next tier? Not so much.

We've won 8 straight by getting more consistent pitching performances, timely hitting, and genuine desire and intensity from our players.
I love how people continue to shite on this squad, they've been in some tight ball games all year even against the best teams Ole Miss, A&M, State.......it's baseball.
I'd expect them to surprise the rant because the rant doesn't know shite

LSU has won 5 of the 8 by 1 run.

We all know it's not because of mainieri. Every Lsu fan knows that the head coach is only responsible for losses. Never the wins.

Kids growing up. The talent was always there.

I mean, the question compared to the team's standing two weeks ago is relevant. LSU is an NCAA tournament team that has managed to put itself into contention to host. But the pitching is still suspect against the top-notch teams.
If the Tigers win the Florida series, they are definite hosts. Make a run in the SECT as well, and they can be a national seed. Not bad for a team with so many new starters.

that's because he always keeps some pitchers (the one's about to crash) in too long and he always pulls some pitchers (the one's that had a good inning) too soon.
