quote:

It started out as a routine visit to the doctor for Jeryn and Larry Bates of Pascagoula.

"I was having some cramps and I decided to go to the ER," Jeryn Bates said. "This was on our fourth anniversary, which was April 4 of 2014."

She said the ultrasound technician asked her if she was taking fertility drugs.

"I said, 'No,' and just went on talking to someone and not thinking anything about it," she said.

Larry Bates said he was intrigued by the question.

"I paused and said, 'Wait, why are you asking this?" he said.

I can't imagine a surprise singleton pregnancy at this point, let alone surprise quads.

How fat is this woman she didn't realize there were four people living inside of her?

I would be happy so long as it was 4 boys.

Friend of mine and her husband had their first three years ago. Decided to try for their second last year. Went in for the sonogram at 10 weeks and found out she was having triplets. No fertility drugs or treatment.

If you can go through an entire pregnancy not realizing you are pregnant, CPS should take those kids away the minute they are born because you are clearly too stupid to be held responsible for raising a child (or in this case, four).
