Using animals to make a profit, shortening the horses life by all that training and racing. It's only a matter of time. #horselivesmatter

Surprised it hasn't happened already tbh. So much white privilege.

Rip Van Winkle, where have you been?
Posted on 5/7/16 at 7:08 pm to 13SaintTiger
Because it's a money factory.

But they have gay broadcasters though. Should count for something.

I was a horse race fan until I visited Church Hill Downs and got real close to the horses. They are very young and frail looking. That is not evident when you watch them on TV. They are very skittish and no telling what drugs they give them. To young for that kind of training. Their bones are not all mature yet. I am a previous owner of a young horse although not a thoroughbred.

You are full of shite. those animals are powerful and majestic, treated way better the human athletes.

I'd rather protest that dude's hat

The Tennessee Walker Horse Breeder and Exhibitor's Association has been under fire from the Humane Society for alleged "soring," inflicting cuts around the horse's hooves to produce a more higher, more pronounced step in competitions. It's a fact TWHBEA has had difficulty refuting, considering the charge has been verified by former association horse owners and trainers.
I'm surprised the Derby doesn't have some doping scandals. Maybe they have, but I'm not much of a race fan so I don't follow the sport closely.

When the horses retire, they get paid to frick. Well their owners do at least. Enough said.
Posted on 5/7/16 at 7:21 pm to 13SaintTiger

Posted on 5/7/16 at 7:22 pm to lsupride87
Do the horses drink Coke before the race?

I'm not full of shite. They are to young for that. Why do you think they break legs on the reg?
Posted on 5/7/16 at 7:24 pm to 13SaintTiger

This is absurdly ignorant.
