Define on the reg. Lots of humans break their legs in competition too, are all sports in humane.

I realize that horses get turned into glue when they break a leg, so spare me the sob story.

Could not be further from the truth. Have you even paid attention to jockey names, visited a stable? Get out more.

I'm not going to argue with you. The visit just changed my mind about racing. Do you need to go to your safe place because of some words?

The owners of these horses invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in them. I promise you, they take very good care of their investment. The OP is about the Kentucky Derby, not the weekly horse race at Bubba's trailer park. These horses are bred, built, and trained for speed and stamina like no other domesticated animal in the world. They are well taken care of

I go to Oaklawn Park a few times a year and from what I can tell black people love horse racing.

You might need to be the one to find a safe space if one visit to Churchill downs changed your out look on horse racing, you might be too sensitive for the OT.

I've been to Churchill, Evangeline, the fairgrounds, lone star park, and most importantly Kentucky horse park where the majority of the horse training takes place. You might have a different opinion if you went there, and actually saw how they were trained.

If we can ever turn North Korea, they would rule as jockeys.

Yes, but you don't want to see how they train horses.

It's time to end horse racing in my opinion. It is inhumane and driven by gambling and greed. We need to evolve past this "pastime".

Dude , calm down. Don't know about any animal cruelty going on but damn. Gambling is gonna happen whether it's horses or two ants fighting over a crumb.
Remember, the owner of these horses get millions of dollars for their horses off spring.

Nobody really loses with horse racing.

Everybody wins.

Everybody except the horse owners.
